April 3rd was Elizabeth's 8th birthday. She wanted to go to Ryan's Steakhouse for her birthday, so that is where we had her party. She didn't really want cake because they have so many desserts there, she didn't care. That was nice that we didn't have to spend money on that.

She has been wanting a gameboy to play in the van, so we got her a gameboy advance. The other thing that she wanted was a pig. She got a stuffed pig. She really wants a pot-bellied pig, but we are not going to be doing that. Maybe if we move to a farm. I don't quite know why she likes piggies so much. Probably my fault for letter her see the Charlotte's web cartoon movie.

My mother got her a baby pig for her birthday too. It's one of those newborn animals that moves with batteries. It squeals and wiggles it's curly tail. She covers it with a baby blanket "when it's sleeping". Right now she is reading Little House in the Big Woods for her school and there is a part in it where a bear comes and tries to get the pig. Pa shoots at the bear then comes back in and says, "Well, at least I saved the bacon!" Elizabeth thought that was very funny. She named her stuffed pig, Bacon. She said, we have to put suntan lotion on it in the summer so it won't turn into real bacon.
